Did you attend Mission Ready, Always: The Strategic Case for Agency-Wide eLearning?
This session explored how sheriffs offices can move beyond the traditional trade-off between operational readiness and ongoing professional development by integrating scalable, verifiable eLearning into their training strategy. The COPS Training Portal provides immediate, no-cost, web-based eLearning resources through the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS Office) and the National Center for Policing Innovation (NCPI). The Portal helps agencies deliver consistent, high-frequency training without overtime or backfilling shifts, while preserving in-person instruction for critical, hands-on skills. It strengthens compliance, improves consistency, and keeps deputies mission-ready.
