TRAINING AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE
Human Trafficking: Curriculum to Improve Law Enforcement’s Capacity to End the Violent Crime of Trafficking
A comprehensive training curriculum on Human Trafficking developed by IADLEST and funded by the Office of Community Oriented Policing Services of the U.S. Department of Justice is available for immediate download for the 50 P.O.S.T.s and 700 training academies in the U.S. and all tribal law enforcement. IADLEST invested two years of research to understand the current state of law enforcement training as it relates to trafficking and developed this curriculum as a result. This curriculum consists of three components: A model PowerPoint including embedded videos, an Instructor Guide, and a Participant Guide.
Child Sex Trafficking: A Training Series for Frontline Officers
Child Sex Trafficking: A Training Series for Frontline Officers is a toolkit developed by the International Association of Chiefs of Police in partnership with the FBI and the COPS Office. It includes a series of training videos to be used for training within law enforcement agencies across the country, a discussion guide meant to reinforce key information contained in the videos and to assist officers in applying this knowledge to their role as first responders in their community, and quick reference sheets to supplement the videos and discussion guide.
