Western Community Policing Institute

Established in 1996 as part of the Regional Community Policing Institutes (RCPI) network, the Western Community Policing Institute (WCPI) provides nationwide training and technical support to enhance community safety. WCPI focuses on delivering training, education, and resources to law enforcement agencies, community organizations, and other stakeholders involved in community policing efforts. Collaborating with local, state, and federal partners, WCPI offers diverse programs, workshops, and conferences that cover crucial aspects of community policing, including community engagement, problem-oriented policing, crime prevention, and fostering partnerships with diverse communities.
